STILL LIFE

STILL LIFE - Full view

Vaneda / Installation Notes

This installation continues an ongoing exploration at WeAreNotCreative Studio; reading objects through the relationship between movement and surface.

Metal operates here both as a structural element and as a field of resistance. It defines a condition rather than a background. The sneakers do not simply rest on it; they negotiate balance through a subtle dialogue of weight, pressure, and intention.

The reflective quality of metal meets the engineered form of the shoe. One captures light with precision, the other absorbs it through use and movement. The tension between these two behaviors builds the visual rhythm of the work.

Industrial by nature, metal carries clarity and control. The sneakers introduce a human layer into this system; direction, friction, and presence. Through this interaction, the installation moves beyond product display and into a spatial language.

Positioned between design and art, the work creates a temporary field where function and emotion coexist.

At its core, the installation returns to a single question:
How does movement speak on a surface?
